Permanent Roofline Lighting, Installed by the People Who Know Your Gutters

Invisible by day. Programmable every night of the year. Installed on a roofline we inspect first.

~6 million colors

Individually addressable LEDs — every diode can differ from the one beside it.

App controlled

10 movement modes, schedules, timers, brightness and independent zones.

UL-listed, 7-year warranty

Rated for 100,000 hours as permanent exterior hardware.

Permanent roofline lighting is a low-profile LED track fitted along your fascia, soffit, or gutter line and left up year-round. During the day it reads as trim. At night it becomes whatever you want — warm architectural light on an ordinary Tuesday, orange and purple in October, red and green in December, your team's colors on game day.

All Pro Gutter Guards is an Oelo Authorized Dealer. Oelo builds a UL-listed system rated for 100,000 hours and backed by a 7-year warranty, with individually addressable LEDs, roughly 6 million colors, and ten movement modes controlled from your phone.

Here is the part that separates us from most companies selling this: the track mounts to your fascia and gutter line. That is our trade. We have been installing, repairing, and replacing gutters across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia since 2001.

What People Use It For

Every holiday, already up

Christmas, Halloween, July 4th, Valentine's Day — one installation covers all of them. No ladder in December, no tangled boxes in the attic, no hiring a crew every November.

Everyday architectural accent

Most owners run a warm, subtle downlight the other 340 nights a year. It reads as landscape lighting for the roofline and genuinely changes how the house looks after dark.

Team and school colors

Program your colors once and trigger them on game day from your phone.

Security and presence

Scheduled lighting makes an empty house look occupied, and lit eaves remove the dark band around your roof where nobody can see.

What the system actually is

A permanent lighting system has three parts.

The track is an extruded channel fastened along the fascia, soffit, or gutter line. It holds the LEDs and hides the wiring. Cover colors are matched to your trim so the run disappears against the house in daylight.

The LEDs sit inside the channel, spaced closely and individually addressable — each one can be a different color at the same time, which is what makes patterns and gradients possible rather than one flat color across the whole roof.

The controller is a low-voltage control box, usually mounted in a garage or interior utility space, that drives the run and connects to your Wi-Fi.

Why a gutter company should be the one installing it

This is the argument we would make even if we did not sell lighting.

The track fastens to your fascia — the same board your gutters hang from. If that fascia is soft, rotted, or already carrying a sagging gutter, you are anchoring a permanent system into a compromised board. Most permanent-lighting installers are lighting specialists, power-washing companies, or seasonal decorators. Fascia condition is not their trade, and it is not what they are looking at.

It is exactly what we look at on every job. We inspect the fascia, the hangers, the pitch, and the gutter condition before anything gets mounted — and if something needs correcting, we tell you before we start, not after.

There is a second, more practical benefit. If your gutters are near the end of their life, doing gutters and lighting together means one crew, one mobilization, and no risk of a lighting installer voiding the warranty on a gutter or guard system someone else installed. If your gutters have years left, we will tell you that too.

Control from your phone

The system runs from an app. You get roughly 6 million colors, ten movement modes — twinkle, chase, fade, wave and others — schedules and timers, brightness control, and the ability to zone different sections of the house independently.

Set a warm white to come on at dusk and off at midnight year-round, then override it for a holiday or a game without touching the schedule. An optional cloud app adds control of multiple structures from anywhere, which matters if you have a second property or a detached garage or barn.

What it costs

We quote every roofline individually, because linear footage and roof complexity drive the number more than anything else. We do not publish a per-foot price we would have to caveat.

What we can tell you is what moves it. Total linear footage is the largest factor. Roof complexity is second — dormers, multiple gables, and varied rooflines take longer than a straight ranch run. Story height affects access and labor. Power access matters, since the controller needs a nearby circuit. Cover material and color matching add a small variable. And the condition of the fascia and gutters underneath can add scope if repair is needed first.

For context, published industry pricing guides put professionally installed permanent roofline lighting in the range of roughly $20 to $40 per linear foot nationally, with larger or more complex homes running higher. Treat that as a market range from third-party sources, not as our quote. Ours is free, written, and specific to your house.

How the install works

First, a free on-site design consultation. We measure the roofline, look at the fascia and gutters, discuss where you want light and where you do not, and match the cover color to your trim.

Second, installation. The track is fastened, the LEDs seated, the wiring concealed, and the controller mounted and powered. Most homes are done in a day.

Third, setup and walkthrough. We connect the system, get the app on your phone, build your first few scenes and schedules with you, and test every zone before we leave.

If you want the lighting done right, start with the surface it mounts to. That is the part we have been working on since 2001.

Permanent Roofline Lighting — FAQs

Is it really invisible during the day?

Nearly. The LEDs sit inside a low-profile channel with a cover color-matched to your trim or gutter, so from the ground the run reads as part of the roofline. It is not literally invisible — if you stand close and look for it, you will see a clean trim line — but it does not look like Christmas lights left up in July, which is the actual concern behind the question.

Can I leave it up all year?

That is the entire point. The system is engineered as permanent exterior building hardware — UL-listed, weather-rated, and rated for 100,000 hours of use. It stays on the house through summer heat, Mid-Atlantic winters, and everything between.

Will it damage my roof, fascia, or gutters?

Not when it is installed correctly into sound material. The track fastens to the fascia, soffit, or gutter line — it does not go under your shingles, so it does not raise the roof-warranty questions that under-shingle systems can. The real risk is anchoring into fascia that is already rotted or a gutter that is already pulling away, which is exactly what we inspect for before we mount anything.

Does it work with gutter guards already installed?

Yes. The lighting track and a gutter guard occupy different parts of the roof edge, and we install both regularly. If you have guards from another company, we will assess the mounting before we start rather than after.

What happens if a section stops working?

Individual sections are serviceable — a run does not have to be replaced because one segment fails. The Oelo system carries a 7-year warranty, and our workmanship stands behind the installation itself.

How much power does it use?

It is a low-voltage LED system, so operating cost is modest — comparable to running exterior LED accent lighting, and considerably less than incandescent holiday light strings across the same footage.

Do you install in my area?

We serve all 39 of our markets across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. If we install gutters where you live, we install lighting there too.

What is an Oelo Authorized Dealer?

Oelo sells its system through a vetted dealer network rather than off a shelf, and authorized dealers are trained on installation and supported on warranty service. It means the company installing your system is accountable to the manufacturer for how it goes on the house.
