Nestled in the heart of Montgomery County, North Wales, Pennsylvania is a small yet bustling borough, rich in history and brimming with life. Just a mere 27 miles north of Center City Philadelphia, North Wales is not only a historic center but a modern suburb that offers a wide array of services and amenities. It's one of the three historic population centers that make up the North Penn Valley and has a lot to offer to its residents and visitors alike. All Pro Gutter Guards, the number 1 Gutter Guard contractor in North Wales, is proud to serve this wonderful community.
The borough traces its origins back to Welsh immigrants, named after North Wales in Wales. Part of a land grant from William Penn in 1702, it initially served as rich farming land. The town has grown considerably since its humble beginnings as a pastoral village in the agricultural Gwynedd Township.
The arrival of the North Pennsylvania Railroad in 1852 brought significant changes. Service from Bethlehem to Philadelphia began in 1857, and the town quickly grew around the railway station. North Wales was incorporated in 1869, making it the oldest of the North Penn boroughs.
During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, North Wales saw substantial residential development, preserving many of these homes to this day. Between 1900 and 1926, the Chestnut Hill Branch trolley line connected the borough to surrounding towns, further facilitating its growth. The 21st century saw the establishment of the North Wales Historic Preservation District to protect its rich architectural heritage.
The business district is home to an eclectic mix of services. From hair salons and beauty parlors to doctors' offices and auto repair facilities, Main and Walnut Streets have it all. For food lovers, there's something for every palate, from pizza parlors and Tex-Mex restaurants to bakeries and vegan spots.
The North Wales Elementary School, once the High School until the 1950s, is part of the North Penn School District. For those seeking a faith-based education, Mater Dei Catholic School in Lansdale is also an option.
For outdoor enthusiasts, North Wales offers a range of parks. Whether it's the walking paths of Weingartner Park, the public tennis courts at Second Street Park, or the natural-feeling area of Ninth Street Park, there's something for everyone.
As of the 2020 census, North Wales had a population of 3,426. The community is quite diverse, with the majority being White, followed by smaller percentages of Black, Asian, and other racial backgrounds.
Just had gutter guards installed on my home by All Pro. The whole process was seamless, top notch, and professional. Jason was a pleasure to deal with from the start and incredibly responsive. He took time to walk through the various products out there, and his presentation added up to my own independent research. The installer showed up at 9 AM on the dot when I was told he would and was incredibly efficient and professional in carrying out his work. My property is surrounded by trees and I need a high quality product that will actually stand the time of time. All Pro was both the most affordable option, while also offering a very high quality product they stand behind, which offers peace of mind for the investment made. Count me as a satisfied customer. I would highly recommend.
