Lighting by LeafFilter and All Pro's permanent roofline lighting appear to run on the same underlying platform. Both are low-profile LED track systems with individually controllable diodes, acrylic or metal covers color-matched to your trim, a low-voltage control box, and app-based control through the Evolution system. LeafFilter's own FAQ names the Evolution app. All Pro installs Oelo, which publishes Evolution controller documentation.

We cannot confirm a manufacturing relationship from public sources — it may be a shared supplier rather than the same manufacturer. But the specifications, the control platform, and even the marketing language line up closely enough that you should assume the lights on your house will perform about the same either way.

So the honest question is not which system is better. It is who is putting it on your roofline, and who answers the phone in year four.

Why the Mounting Surface Decides This

A permanent lighting system is anchored hardware. It fastens to your fascia — the same board your gutters hang from — and it is meant to stay there for the life of the LEDs, which are rated at 100,000 hours.

That means the board matters as much as the light.

If your fascia is soft, water-damaged, or already carrying a gutter that is pulling away, you are anchoring a permanent system into a compromised surface. It will look fine on install day. It becomes a problem in year three, and by then the lighting and the gutter are tangled together in a way that makes both harder to fix.

Fascia condition is not a lighting company's trade. It is not what they are trained to assess and it is not what they are looking at when they quote. That is not a criticism — it is simply outside the scope of the work.

Say your gutters have three or four years left in them.

With a lighting-only installer, you get lights now — and in four years you hire a gutter company to work around a permanent lighting system somebody else installed. Two contractors, two mobilizations, and a real question about who is responsible if something gets damaged in the process.

With us, that is one conversation. If the gutters should be replaced first, we say so and do both in the same visit. If they have years left, we say that too and just install the lights.

There is a warranty dimension as well. If a lighting installer damages a gutter or gutter guard system during installation, you are now between two companies. When the same crew owns both systems, there is nobody to point at.

3. Who is physically installing this, and do they work for you?

The answers will tell you more than any spec sheet, because the specs are nearly identical.
