Welcome to Dublin, a captivating borough nestled in the heart of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. With a population of 2,158 residents, Dublin offers a warm and welcoming community atmosphere. As part of the esteemed Pennridge School District, this borough is known for its rich history, friendly neighbors, and strong commitment to education.
Before European settlers arrived, the land that is now Dublin was home to the Lenape people. The borough's early settlers were predominantly Irish, followed by Germans. While local lore suggests that Dublin's name comes from "Double Inn," there is no documented evidence to support this claim. It is more likely that the name was inspired by the city in Ireland.
Dublin's journey to becoming a borough is marked by historical events. In 1832, there was an attempt to establish Dublin as a township, which was followed by a second attempt in 1841, which included residents from New Britain Township. Both attempts failed. However, in 1912, Dublin was finally granted the status of a borough.
The first post office in Dublin opened its doors on April 18, 1827, with Newton Rowland serving as the postmaster. Before this, mail was delivered from Doylestown and Hilltown. Notably, William Rowland, a Dublin native, served in the Pennsylvania General Assembly from 1812-1815. Over the years, J. D. Moyer & Co. grew to become one of the largest and most successful country stores in the county.
Dublin's charm can be experienced as you travel along Pennsylvania Route 313, which connects the larger towns of Doylestown and Quakertown. The town is compact, with most of it visible from PA 313. Rows of historic houses line the road, some of which date back to the late 18th century.
Dublin boasts a small shopping center, a PennDOT Driver License Center, a pharmacy, and five restaurants. Its population is concentrated in various housing developments near the town's center. Dublin operates its municipal government, maintains a fire station, and even has its own local police department, with the Pennsylvania State Police providing support when needed.

Just had gutter guards installed on my home by All Pro. The whole process was seamless, top notch, and professional. Jason was a pleasure to deal with from the start and incredibly responsive. He took time to walk through the various products out there, and his presentation added up to my own independent research. The installer showed up at 9 AM on the dot when I was told he would and was incredibly efficient and professional in carrying out his work. My property is surrounded by trees and I need a high quality product that will actually stand the time of time. All Pro was both the most affordable option, while also offering a very high quality product they stand behind, which offers peace of mind for the investment made. Count me as a satisfied customer. I would highly recommend.
